Our day will start with the a 15 minute trip from Glenridding to Aira Force on the iconic Ullswater Steamers. Upon disembarking we walk up through the impressive Aira Force Waterfalls and out onto the open fell and up Gowbarrow. A fell which stands alone, high above the shores of Ullswater. From the top we take in impressive views as far as Blencathra to the north, the Helvellyn range to SW swinging around towards Fairfield, Red Screes and the whole High Street Ridgeline and up to the Pennines in the NE - so hoping for a clear day for this one. Closer to home Ullswater far below will never disappoint, even if we catch glimpses on a misty day!
On return to Aira Force we then head back to Glenridding along the Ullswater Way, and if time allows we will take a little detour past Seldom Seen for glorious views of Ullswater, although this detour will add some further ascent and an extra kilometer of walking.

Approx 4.5 - 5 hours walking time, dependent on route taken, we can extend this to be a full day, the route is totally flexible. If only half a day walking then the cost will be adjusted accordingly.
