Autumn Red Deer Rut - 2/3 Day Break

HH angle tarn pikes
HH red deer rut
2021 AMP Deer 05

On our Autumn Red Deer Rutting Special – 2/3 day break, walking the fells above Ullswater, specifically between 9th to 24th October. This is the time of year to you hear the famous Red Deer of the Martindale Valley Rutting and their bellowing echoing around the valleys. Day 2 is an early start, to go hear the deer during the optimum time of day, with an exclusive Breakfast Box and the opportunity to see the sun rise over the fells. We can make each day as gentle or strenuous as you would like, although each party member must be comfortable with walking in the hills, albeit on easy trails, with a 6 mile walk with approximately 600m ascent each day.

The 2022 short break dates are set as:

  • 10th-12th October
  • 18th-20th October
  • Other dates are available

We have found the available midweek dates at the Patterdale Hotel, which is great value here: https://patterdalehotel.co.uk/...

Cost: £210 per walker based on a minimum of 6 walkers for 3 days (quote for fewer walkers on request)

Additional charges:

Ullswater Steamers for start and finish of walks payable on the day for Day 1 and 3 only

TO ARRANGE A DATE FOR YOUR BREAK and for more information, email: bookings@hikinghighs.co.uk

We look forward to taking you out on your adventure.
