Red Deer walks
Observe the famous Martindale Red Deer Rutting season. The bellows of the Red Deer Stags echo around the valleys to the east of Ullswater, Boredale, Martindale, Bannerdale and Fusedale. Dawn and dusk they are in full voice and throughout the daytime in the height of rutting season. The stags can be heard and seen from early October to mid November.
The Langdale Pikes
Heading up Mickleden, ascending Stake Pass and onto Pike of Stickle & onto Harrison Stickle - the iconic Langdale Pikes are seen from across the South Lakes. 15km & 950m ascent.
Helvellyn via Swirral Edge - A taste of the Edges
Helvellyn ascending via Swirral, the easiest of the 2 edges. Englands 3rd highest mountain gives 360' panoramic views on a clear day. 12km & 950m ascent.
Scafell Pike
A fantastic 'tour de force' over England's highest summit, Scafell Pike via Styhead Tarn and the Corridor Route, returning via Esk Hause (other routes available depending on group needs)
Angle Tarn Pikes Half Day Hike
For a 360' Panoramic view of The Lake District Mountains, this is the ideal quick ascent and descent to complete on a half day hike from Patterdale, and reach a summit.
High Street & Kidsty Pike
Head up onto the High Street Roman Road for glorious views down into Haweswater with glimspes of Red Deer below in the valley of Riggindale. Bag 3 Wainwrights in the day!
