Patterdale Parish Boundary Challenge Event
Fundraising Patterdale CofE Primary School, and Patterdale Church, Hiking Highs deliver this amazing hiking challenge annually on 1st Saturday in July. A tough route to complete the full boundary, or a challenging first half at 16miles, or less challenging 2nd half at 12 miles, or our family Minibeat 7 miles downhill, or fly down the 7 miler running solo if you prefer.


Grisedale & Glenridding valleys
Enjoy the hidden valleys to the west of Ullswater. Grisedale Valley is famously where Wordsworth said his last 'Good Bye's' to his brother in 1800, and Glenridding famously home to the Greenside Lead Mines where they found silver


Langdale Valleys via Blea tarn
A tour of both Great & Little Langdale valleys, passing Blea Tarn, which is tucked in at the foot of the infamous Rwynose Pass. The hike continues towards Little Langdale before popping over Elterwater & returning up Great Langdale


BUTTERMERE BLUEBELLS
The Lake District is an excellent place to see one of the nation’s favourite wild flowers in all of its glory. Rannerdale in the Buttermere Valley could well be the very best of the best, hosting thousands of bluebells in May each year.
