Scafell Pike or Helvellyn?
Why choose Hiking Highs?
Hiking Highs’ team of experienced guides all have superb local knowledge, and a story to tell around every corner of the Lake District. By using us, your team will embark on a real ‘journey’ through, up or over the Lakeland Fells. We’ll take the stress out of navigating, and have shorter and longer routes up our sleeves to use, depending on weather conditions and the fitness of the team.
The benefits for your team
Wherever you go, we see every member shine in ways they didn't know they had. Some start to support others, some relate their previous experiences. Others will go quiet, get their head down and be on a total mission to the top. You will find unknown attributes blossom in folk as they head out onto the hills with us. That moment when they realise they ‘really can do it’ is shared by all in the group.
Tempt the team to join us! Here are ideas to choose from so we can tailor your Mountain Challenge:
* Do you know your colleagues? You will now!
* Mental wellbeing… see the mind clear as you head a little way out of the comfort zone
* Escape the office… come rain or shine, the feeling is exhilarating
* Explore the Lakes… there’s always more to explore!
* Hiking Highs gives the WOW factor…
* Include a spot of navigation coaching: involves problem solving & great teamworking
* Hill Skills: careful guidance, giving confidence right to the summit and down again, and ticks your ‘Investors In People’ box
* Rise to the challenge… Rise to the View… Taking your team to the top
* Off grid / on trail… or maybe not? You never quite know with our team!
* We're happy to have a discussion so you can make this compelling for the group, including your wants, needs and expectations.
What Hiking Highs guides offer
All 12 of our Hiking Highs guides love to have fun in the fells, as well as being a leader. They will share their knowledge, skills and confidence. The feeling of freedom is truly infectious, and we're sure your team will feel it, too.
Our guarantee to you
All corporate hikes have two guides, to fully ensure that everyone can keep moving. If any problems occur within the group, others can continue on, and not feel restricted. This approach works best for corporate groups. Ideally there's a minimum of two guides for up to 12 hikers, and a third guide would join us if numbers were greater.
Our pricing takes into account the possibility of a participant needing to be escorted down off the hill, thereby ensuring that other leaders remain insured to continue the hike on the basis of a 1:10 guide-to-participant ratio. We feel this is essential on a corporate day out.
We also endeavour to book a trainee leader to assist at no extra cost. This means we can give extra confidence to hikers and encouragement to those who may be struggling towards the back of the group. We find this an excellent way to make sure that all participants feel confident, included and fulfilled by the end of our hikes.
