Hike through Coniston Coppermines to the 'Old Man'

For a 360' Panoramic view of The Lake District Mountains, this is the ideal quick ascent and descent to complete on a half day hike from Patterdale, and reach a summit.

A absolute favourite with Hiking Highs... why? Well there is a very good chance of seeing the famous Martindale Red Deer, always worth bringing the binoculars on this hike!

Starting at Patterdale and crossing the valley floor, warming up ready before the ascent to Boredale Hause, crossing to Bedafell, and weaving our way on secret grass paths, following the footsteps of the local Red Deer, to summit Angle Tarn Pikes. With no other mountains close by the views are panoramic, on misty days we will take in the tranquility of Angle Tarn itself, sitting high in the mountains.

This hike is suitable and amazing even on a wet wild windy day!

Nicola was really approachable, she listened and very enthusiastic. The walks allowed us to put a lot into practice.

We have done several walks with Nic. She is very quick to see and adapt walks to peoples abilities. Also very knowledgeable about the area and would recommend walks with the company.
